Ewa Michalak Bras | What the Letters Mean & How They Fit at Kimtimates

Ewa Michalak is a Polish brand renowned for its size range, technical fit, and shaping power, especially for full-bust and soft breast tissue. Each bra style is identified by a letter code, which refers to the cut of the bra and how it’s designed to fit. At Kimtimates, we currently stock three Ewa Michalak styles in BM (BML), PLP (PL), and S. Here's what those letters mean and how they fit.

BM (BML) – Unpadded, Medium Neckline, Natural Shape

The BM cut (BML refers to the same shape with different lace or design elements) is one of Ewa Michalak’s best-selling styles, and for good reason. It’s an unpadded bra with a projected fit, medium neckline, and a higher centre front, designed to bring the bust inward and upward while keeping it within the body’s natural contour.

  • Ideal for soft or less firm tissue

  • Offers a rounded shape with full containment

  • Medium coverage, works well under everyday necklines

  • Band fits more snug compared to other UK/EU brands

  • Cups run deep, many people size down in the cup compared to padded Ewa styles

PLP (PL) – Padded Plunge with Removable Push-Up Pads

The PLP (Plunge Lightly Padded) is a padded plunge bra with removable push-up pads, making it perfect for deep V-necklines and outfits that call for more cleavage. The foam cups are lined with cotton, and the pads stay secure in internal pockets.

  • Great for enhancing cleavage and uplifting the bust

  • Creates a round, centred shape

  • Comfortable cotton lining against the skin

  • Straps, underwire width, and gore height scale with size for a more customized fit

  • Works especially well for smaller bands and cups

  • Band fits more snug compared to other UK/EU brands

A model poses in Ewa Michalak Kawalura PLP, a padded push-up bra. The straps and cups are plain with no detail. Seaming on the cups and a low centre front allows for maximum cleavage. A small white button detail is at the centre front.

S – Padded, Medium Neckline, Rounded Shape

The S cut is a padded bra with a higher centre front and a medium neckline, offering a secure, lifted shape that works beautifully under most clothing. It's a fantastic everyday option for those who want a little structure without sacrificing comfort.

  • Rounded silhouette with subtle ‘cakes on a plate’ look

  • Removable pads are included for asymmetry correction

  • Cotton-lined cups and soft-finished edges for comfort

  • Particularly well-suited to soft or less firm breasts

  • Band fits more snug compared to other UK/EU brands
